1. Discovery & Survey
Courting your business: getting to know the ins and outs
All projects big or small, for the web or print start on the threshold of a discovery stage. This is the “getting to know you” phase where we address many questions about your business, your industry, your market position and your competition.
Whether you need a logo design or a custom website the starting point is the same: we have to explore all aspects of what you do to gain insight and a full understanding about your requirements, expectations and challenges.
2. Project Analysis
Decoding the signs: from clueless to defining the right plan
For logo design, the compiled information is merely to set the foundation for the work that will be initiated.
To stay on track and make sure to head in the right direction, the gatherings and findings are scrutinized to define your visual communication goals. Your core message, your audience, competition and industry are all closely examined to pave the road for the conceptual process. Our aim is to develop design solutions that not only look and feel like your business but are also true to your brand value and core messaging.
The same process applies to website design. In addition to outlining the visual direction, a sitemap is created. A sitemap is a list of the pages comprised in your site and the key constituent for your navigation system. You will provide all technical copy/content you wish to be included on the web site.
3. Concept Development & Selection
Spoiled for choice
Several design solutions are identified and developed based on the previous body of information.
Up to 3 design concepts are generated and presented each of which may be modified to your liking. You may chose to combine some design elements and transfer some ideas from one concept to another. The point is to create the right perception that best represents you or your business.
If the project consists of logo design, up to 3 design concepts are presented with different cognitive imagery, graphic styles and colors.
In the event of a website design up to 3 home page templates are illustrated with different look and feel, layout ideas, and color schemes.
4. Revision & Modification
Design in progress: touch-ups for that flawless look
The selected concept for each media format is revised and refined until the perfect design emerges.
This creative checkpoint focuses on all involved elements to work together and create a whole. Based on your feedbacks, several revisions can be made for your review.
In close collaboration with you, the work is done with great attention to detail and a relentless desire for the ultimate results.
5. Approval
Seal of approval
Once you have approved the design and no more changes are needed, the product is prepared for design implementation.
Logos are prepared in both digital and print format. A black and white version is provided, if in color. Web pages are prepared for slicing & optimizing.
6. Production & Integration
Practical effect: the design in action
Logos may also be integrated into corporate stationery, business cards, sales presentations or other promotional material if these services have been contracted. Depending on the project type, some prototypes may be produced for sampling.
Web and interactive materials will be coded and tested. HTML page templates are generated and must be approved.
When you provide your copy/content the Web pages are then populated.
7. Delivery
Happily ever after
The designs are emailed to you in the format of your choice. A cd is available upon request.
Logos are delivered in gif, jpeg & eps formats in both color (when applicable) and black and white.
For catalogs, pdf files are generated for print or digital use.
Websites are uploaded directly on the world wide web. Once the website is uploaded and launched you have 15 days grace period during which you may evaluate and request final modifications on the copy.
